Chinese New Year-4th Day.

For those of us who were in Hong Kong to see the firework celebration last night it was quite spectacular, way better than the year before.  2012 the Year of the Water Dragon is bringing in some noise (or shall I say calm.)

The gods are said to report his work in heaven commenting on human good and evil.  On the 4th Day, today, according to folklore, they return back to earth – it is hence called “Jie Shen Day” (the day greeting god).  Now more importantly…the night of the 4th day of the New Year is said to welcome the God of Wealth.

To welcome the God of Wealth burn incense and candles to the east, west, south, north, and middle.  In each of the five directions’ invite the Wealth God in to the house or place of work.  Good luck and fortune will come!
