Superfoods during the Holidays

Maca – known to the Peruvians as modern day Viagra, without the side effects, actually has many more SUPERFOOD attributes.  This root vegetable is actually completely therapeutic.

Maca has been cultivated for at least 2000 years and was consumed by Inca warriors to increase strength and endurance, support fertility and Super importantly, enhance immune system function. It was also found that maca, decreases the presence of osteoporosis, and does not increase blood pressure.

How to eat it?

It can be purchased in powder and it is amazing when mixed with cacao, which is also a superfood! Do not eat this every day and make sure to only use a little when you first start drinking.  The power of superfood is very strong. If you notice any break-out of mood changes, please stock drinking.  Let me know your thoughts!

Gettin it Goin Recipe:

Water from a young coconut  * 1 cup of pineapple cubed  *  1/4 cup of raw cacao * 1 teaspoon of organic powered maca  *  2 cups of baby spinach * 3 ice cubes (optional). Blend and drink!
