Let Food Be Your Medicine

A Wise Man once said: Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food. The wise man was Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, who knew a lot about the healing effects of plants, herbs, and fruits.

Today most people think of medicine as a pill they take without the need to rest or heal. However, the more we see that this way of prescribing medicine does not cure the more we search for natural healing remedies.  We don’t have to go far to find remedies, look in your kitchen!

One of these healing super genies is lemon:

I suppose that most people know that lemon has a lot of Vitamin C, is great for the immune system and helps to ease a cold. But did you know that you can heal bruises with lemon or that drinking lemon on a regular basis prevents articular gout, cancer, renal calculi or arteriosclerosis.

And here some healing recipes for you and your family:

  • Do you have children? Well, if yes you know that they often fall down and exactly at that moment you do not have any healing oil or a cream. Well, just go to the next supermarket, get a lemon and tell your little love you’ll do some magic with a lemon … cut it in two parts and rub it on the hurting part of the body hourly. This way the bruise will be cooled with the lemon and recover faster, it looks funny and your child learns that nature heals
  • The following is also good for children but we older children will profit from it: Get a tablespoon of fresh ginger, cook it in one cup of water for ten minutes, take it from fire and cover it until it has been cooling down to room temperature. For children from age 2-7 take 3 tablespoons 3 times a day and from the age of 7 take 3 tablespoons hourly until its gotten better.
  • Do you have problems with your kidneys?  Drink the juice of 2-3 lemons in water for 10 days and your kidney will feel relieved. I had  renal calculi and they were gone after 2 days of drinking 10 lemons per day … To even prevent renal calculi drink 1 teaspoon lemon juice mixed with 1 teaspoon of good olive oil before breakfast.  A healer in Uruguay said that this way I never will have problems with renal calculi … sounds cool, doesn’t it? One only has to do it.
  • Want to clean you liver or get relieved from articular goat? Just drink lemon juice before breakfast, at least for 21 days. Drink it slowly, in small sips and let  it a while in your mouth. Lemon juice purifies and alkalizes your blood.  It also helps your body to divert toxins and uric acids that is ultimately responsible for arteriosclerosis.
  • Got some nasty mosquito bite? Put some lemon juice on that.
  • And last but not least a great recipe to de-calcify your brain and your coronary blood vessels: Take 3 garlic bulbs, 3 lemons and 1/3 l of water.  Put all the ingredients in a blender and after blending in the fridge. Take 1 tablespoon in water once a day or directly in your mouth. After 21 days pause for 2 days and then repeat.  It is recommended to do this twice a year … After only 3 weeks of drinking this garlic lemon juice you will feel relieved and rejuvenated. Your brain works better  and calcification that lead to sight and hearing problems begin to disappear. You can sleep better, patients could avoid heart operation because the blood gets better and the chalk gets washed from the body. Even periodontosis can improve.

I hope you have found some helpful hints here for you and your family … Just give it a try, if you feel inspired and enjoy the healing power of lemon juice.

AND just take a brief look: Maybe the next natural healing genie comes looking around your kitchen door to lend its healing hand to you…
