Escape to Borneo

Borneo.

The family has left the big city and we have escaped to the northern part of the island, Sabah.  She is the home of Danum Valley, and Mount Kinabalu, Malaysia’s first ever World Heritage Site that sits on a 6,200-acre land at 2,272 feet above sea level.. We are lodged up in the Shangri-la…wow, wow, wow, thank you Maria!  I cannot wait to try the Chi Spa, actually running there now to try the Indigenous Borneo Massage!  This is when you really know what Escape means: feeling of freedom, taking yourself out of daily reality, release.  The sound, “AAHHH” comes to mind.  When you Escape you realize that you are a Spirit within a body.

Happy Thanksgiving.   I leave you with the poem from my most favorite poet, an unknown poet:

“Apache Blessing”

“May the sun bring you new energy by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night,
May the rain wash away your worries
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And all of the days of your life may you walk
Gently through the world and know its beauty.”
